Chia Seeds (Salvia hispanica) Growing Instructions Print

Chia Seeds (Salvia hispanica)

Place the seeds in a glass filled ¼ with water for 24 hours. Place the seeds on the soil after you have moistened it, spreading them along the pots surface. Keep both the seeds and soil moist and within two weeks sprouting should occur. You can cover the pot with a plastic nylon bag with a few holes in it. This will keep the moisture inside the pot. Once it starts growing you will need as much sun as you can provide. During heat waves keep in a shadowy place.
