Turk Cap’s Lily Growing Instructions Print

Turk Cap’s Lily

Select a site in partial shade or full sun. Use rich in nutrients soil.
Dig ¼-inch-deep furrows in your chosen site after the last spring frost. Sow the seeds and cover them with topsoil.
Irrigate the seed bed to a depth of about 3/4 inch at planting. Water the seeds every time the soil surface begins to dry. After the seeds germinate, give the plants 1 inch of water a week.
Prune your Turk's cap shrub to the height you want, as this plant has the potential to reach 9 feet. Keeping it short doesn't affect flower production.
